About

Why is ALCTS sponsoring a multi-day virtual program?

At the time of the 60th anniversary of ALCTS, we are organizing this virtual program to consider the future of collections, technical services, and preservation. The ALCTS Exchange will offer cutting-edge ideas, practical information, and opportunities for engagement for the organizations and people working in these areas. It will be designed to interest both current ALCTS members and groups that could benefit from the professional development and community ALCTS provides via its face-to-face meetings, publications, and webinars. This virtual program will help attendees prepare for new work and further their careers through active learning about user, technology, market, and broader cultural trends.

What is ALCTS?

The Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) is a division of the American Library Association (ALA). An international, member-driven association, ALCTS engages the library community on issues and policies that affect the acquisition, management, discovery, and preservation of library collections.
