Finding the Right Words: Bringing Text Accessibility to the Digital Library

Session Description

A small group of staff interested in the implementation of OCR and greater text accessibility across the libraries of a public university began gathering in early 2016 to determine use cases, user requirements, and likely targets for bringing OCR into workflows across the organization. Based on those early discussions, two digital production workflows were selected to begin experimenting with this work: the interlibrary services workflow (ILS) and the special collections digital imaging workflow.
