Mobile Apps in Academia: Where Do They Belong?

Session Description

Libraries have an opportunity to provide materials and services to a large population of users via mobile and new patterns of collection development and resource support are emerging to support this demand. Using Stony Brook University Libraries as a case study, we will cover the new life cycle of the Mobile Application in libraries from inclusion of this new format in collection development policies, considerations for technical services and acquisitions, maintaining access and troubleshooting technical issues to promotion and training to optimize use and functionality.
