Session Description
While deselection is not a new concept to libraries, it is not often a top priority. In the winter of 2017, McGill University undertook a large-scale weeding project to address shelf space worries. This presentation will examine the current literature on deselection practices – both traditional methods and modern test cases – and review how it was used to create a deselection strategy for the Education collection.
